Storage Administrator

The role of Storage Administrator involves managing and maintaining a comprehensive storage infrastructure that supports the critical operations of a mission-critical banking environment. Key responsibilities include ensuring data integrity, security, and availability by performing daily health checks, monitoring, and routine tasks using runbooks.

This position requires an individual with strong technical expertise in storage administration, ITIL processes, incident management, ServiceNow, Dell EMC, and Cisco technologies. Proficiency in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and effective communication are essential for success in this role.

Required qualifications include:

  • Perform daily health checks, monitoring, and routine tasks using runbooks.
  • Acknowledge and triage alerts; log and update incidents in ServiceNow/BMC.
  • Execute backups/restores and routine jobs under change and supervision.
  • Escalate to L2/L3 with accurate diagnostics, logs, and metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, SWIFT, and local banking regulator requirements.

In addition to technical skills, the successful candidate will possess excellent documentation, evidence-driven troubleshooting, and clear communication skills. Experience with Dell/EMC, NetApp, HPE Storage certifications (Associate/Professional) and Brocade/Cisco SAN certifications is preferred. An ownership mindset and readiness for 24x7 support and on-call rotation are also required.
