Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Pastry Professional to join our culinary team. This is a key role responsible for preparing high-quality pastry and dessert menu items according to established recipes and presentation guidelines.

  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience in a similar role in an upscale hotel, resort or cruise ship environment.
  • They will be knowledgeable about proper cleaning techniques, equipment requirements, and comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment with ease.
  • This role involves setting up visually appealing pastry displays, assisting with food transportation, and ensuring that all work areas and utensils are cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards.
  • In addition to cooking duties, the successful candidate will also be required to attend meetings, training activities, and other work-related events as needed.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-quality pastry and dessert menu items according to established recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Create attractive pastry displays on buffets as needed.
  • Assist with the transportation of food items from main stores to the pastry galley.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas and utensils to the highest standards.
  • Attend meetings, training activities, and other work-related events as required.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role in an upscale hotel, resort or cruise ship environment.
