Job Overview

Hiring for a Senior Associate in Indirect Tax Litigation for a prominent location.

The successful candidate will handle high-profile engagements related to Indirect Tax Laws, Appeals, Representation before various forums, investigation handholding, Litigation Management Service, Tax Restructuring, Tax Advisory and consulting pertaining to GST, Customs, Service Tax, VAT, and Excise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partnering and Building Relationships: Lead role in client service delivery. Acts as a Trusted Business Advisor:
  • Participates in advising clients on strategic issues and understanding client's needs
  • Plays a strong role in involving multi-disciplinary teams across the business unit in providing services to important accounts
Requirements
  • Sound commercial acumen:
  • Provides a perspective on global trends, emerging industry issues and emerging practices on client assignments. Is able to proactively alert clients on business environment changes that impact (or would impact) the client
Deliverables
  • Marketing & Business Development:
  • Creates and manages strong independent relationships with clients at senior positions with minimal partner involvement, expands client base with new wins and conversions (both existing and new clients) for the business unit.
  • Has strong internal and external networks. These are leveraged for building and growing the firm's business
