Health and Safety Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and maturity of our Safety Culture and Safe Behaviors.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of APAC Health and Safety processes across all sites, ensuring legal compliance in the respective country/area. They will also be required to conduct regular HSE audits, verify actions from sites, report incidents, investigate and review corrective actions.

The role will involve conducting staff training on basic safety practices, implementing and communicating safety alerts to all sites, and ensuring prequalification and authorization of new subcontractors.

You will participate in client meetings during HSE audits and highlight key risks, mobilize and support new site setups with HSE management plans and inductions, and ensure safety standards are maintained and continually improved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular HSE audits and verify actions from sites
  • Report incidents in Salus, investigate and review corrective actions
  • Conduct staff training on basic safety practices
  • Implement and communicate safety alerts to all sites
  • Ensure prequalification and authorization of new subcontractors
  • Participate in client meetings during HSE audits and highlight key risks
  • Mobilize and support new site setups with HSE management plans and inductions
  • Verify all staff and subcontractors are suitably trained and certified
  • Ensure safety standards are maintained and continually improved
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Electrical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering
  • Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety
  • Certified Lead Auditor ISO45001
  • Diploma in Fire Safety
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Health and Safety Systems Management & Process Improvement concepts
  • Experience working with industrial occupational work safety
