Job Overview:


We are seeking a seasoned Program Director to oversee our fixed-price insurance projects within the product engineering division at BB Works.


The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, with a proven track record in delivering complex insurance-related projects on time and within budget.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
    • Ensure adherence to fixed-price project agreements and manage project delivery within agreed financial constraints.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external partners to align project goals and expectations.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communications, addressing concerns and providing regular updates.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, including product development, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure successful project outcomes.
    • Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
    • Proactively monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet objectives.
  • Budget Management:
    • Monitor project budgets, ensuring financial resources are allocated efficiently.
    • Prepare financial reports and forecasts to track project expenditures against the fixed-price model.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Implement best practices for project management and engineering processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
    • Conduct regular project reviews and postmortems to capture lessons learned and drive future improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 14+ years of experience in project management, specifically in the insurance sector.
  • Proven experience managing fixed-price projects, preferably in product engineering or software development.
  • Strong understanding of insurance industry standards, regulations, and practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
