IT Infrastructure Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation, security, and reliability of our organization's IT infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating systems, virtualization technologies, cloud services, and networking protocols. You will be responsible for maintaining and managing various systems, servers, and networks to support the company's technology needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure high availability and optimal performance of servers, networks, and systems.

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to servers, networks, and software applications in a timely manner.

• Implement robust security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access, viruses, and other threats.

• Regularly update and patch systems to ensure they are up-to-date with the latest security and software enhancements.

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels to ensure proper security protocols are followed.

• Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and recommend new hardware and software solutions that align with business needs.

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures.

• Plan and perform system backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.

• Provide expert technical support and assistance to end-users, addressing their IT-related inquiries and issues.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT role.

• Strong knowledge of operating systems.

• Familiarity with virtualization technologies, cloud services, and networking protocols.

• Proficiency in scripting languages for automation and system management.

• Experience with system monitoring and diagnostic tools.

• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members and end-users
