Job Overview

Evolving careers in modern construction methods require expertise in steel detailing and structural engineering. This is a full-time on-site role for a skilled Tekla Detailer.

The successful candidate will create detailed 3D models of steel structures, generate accurate shop drawings, ensure adherence to project specifications and coordinate with project managers and engineers.

This position demands high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities and proficiency in Tekla Structures software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed 3D models of steel structures using advanced computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Generate accurate and precise shop drawings and ensure adherence to project specifications
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including project managers and engineers
  • Review and verify detailed designs and modify plans as needed to meet project requirements
Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in Tekla Structures software
  • Experience in producing detailed 3D models and shop drawings
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and steel fabrication processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Relevant experience in steel detailing or structural engineering is an asset
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field
