Job Description

This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of project documentation and materials across various stages. The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing the closeout process, maintaining project data, and collaborating with the project controls team.

The Project Turnover Specialist will be responsible for anticipating, managing, and coordinating all steps necessary for project closeout, ensuring compliance with established procedures and timelines. This includes maintaining and updating project data in the designated planning tool, overseeing the return of confirmed surplus materials, and facilitating accurate true-up and turnover documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  2. Maintain and update project data in the designated planning tool while collaborating with project controls team members to verify the accuracy and integrity of information.
  3. Oversee the return of confirmed surplus materials through the RMA process, ensuring all items are appropriately recorded in the warehouse and PeopleSoft.
  4. Maintain regular communication with the project-assigned Video Quality Auditor and Project Controls team to facilitate accurate true-up and turnover documentation.
  5. Assist the scoping team in promoting the RFDS for scopes where drone inspections are not required and serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for delivering SAQ CADs to the quality team, ensuring they are appropriately filed in the site folder.
  6. Review subcontractor material purchase order requests for potential cost recovery and forward to the scoping team as necessary.
  7. Own the final turnover package, which includes reviewing turnover deliverables submitted by the General Contractor, regularly following up with GCs regarding deliverables, and either suggesting minor corrections or rejecting unacceptable documents for revision.
  8. Act as the sole approver for closeout processes in PeopleSoft, new Purchase Orders will be assigned to the Closeout Coordinator as needed in Smartsheet.
  9. Manage all JVizion (JV) tasks and data fields associated with turnover processes.
  10. Occasionally follow up on punch list items.
Qualifications and Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in the industry is required.
  • A good understanding of engineering concepts is essential.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Relevant experience in wireless technology and telecommunications is required.
  • Engineering certification in a related discipline is preferred.
  • A working knowledge of industry-standard materials is preferred.
  • Construction management background is an asset.
  • Telecommunication experience of any kind (Broadband, Telecom, Broadcast, etc.) is an asset.
  • Supporting the US Eastern Time Zone is expected.
Education

A recognized degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent years of work experience is required.
