Job Title: Director of EPC Operations

About the Role:

We seek a seasoned EPC Project Manager to oversee our projects in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Biotech sectors. As a key leader, you will drive project delivery from concept to handover, ensuring seamless execution within defined parameters.

This role demands a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and expertise in managing complex projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering medium to large-scale EPC projects, with a focus on timeliness, budget management, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership & Execution:
    • Oversight of the entire project lifecycle, including concept development, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
    • Coordination of project teams to ensure timely completion within budget, schedule, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements.
    • Leadership of multiple projects, encompassing revamps, expansions, and greenfield facilities.
    • Establishment of effective communication channels with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Planning & Resource Management:
    • Development and implementation of project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
    • Conduct regular project review meetings to monitor progress, identify risks, and address challenges.
    • Collaboration with procurement and vendor teams to ensure efficient material and service delivery.
  • Team Development & Leadership:
    • Guidance, mentorship, and development of project managers, engineers, and site teams.
    • Fostering a high-performance culture that prioritizes safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
    • Promoting cross-functional collaboration among engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
  • Commercial & Contract Management:
    • Participation in contract negotiations and vendor management to secure favorable terms.
    • Monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures to minimize financial risk.
    • Support for claim management and resolution of contractual issues.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field (PMP certification preferred).
  • 12-20 years of EPC project experience, with at least 5 years in a senior project leadership role.
  • Proven track record in delivering successful EPC projects in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or Biotech sectors.
  • Strong leadership, client-facing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent ability to manage timelines, budgets, and multi-disciplinary teams.
