About the Role

This position is part of a newly formed team responsible for enhancing cash flow within a finance business application. The team uses a data warehouse architecture with cloud-based services and develops primarily in Python.

The ideal candidate will understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, design and implement end-to-end data pipelines, and collaborate with product owners to develop target architectures.

The selected professional will take ownership of functional and non-functional requirements, perform peer code reviews, and communicate effectively with customers.

  • 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing data pipelines and data models.
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, and Spark-based data lakes.
  • Experience with API integrations and relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
  • Strong understanding of data engineering techniques and best practices.
Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Understanding business requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
  • Designing and implementing end-to-end data pipelines by combining input from various data sources.
  • Collaborating with product owners and engineering leads to develop and maintain target architectures.
  • Taking ownership of functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring high levels of automation and performance.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing data pipelines and data models.
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, and Spark-based data lakes.
  • Experience with API integrations and relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
