Key Responsibilities

  • Design fire alarm systems to meet customer-specific standards and building codes, as well as NFPA 72 requirements.

The role involves executing projects independently throughout their lifecycle. This includes reviewing MEP drawings, tender specifications, and identifying fire alarm requirements.

To achieve this, the successful candidate will:

  • Analyze input data using a checklist and raise relevant RFIs.
  • Prepare detailed fire alarm layouts and engineering bills of materials.
  • Ensure quality assurance and deliver defect-free fire alarm drawings within deadlines.
  • Maintain adherence to established processes and guidelines to execute projects efficiently.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in instrumentation, electrical engineering, electronics, or electronics and communication.
  • 5-8 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of fire alarm systems.
  • Ability to independently carry out hardware detail design, engineering, and application development tasks.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 72, IBC, and relevant codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Prior experience with Simplex products is advantageous.
  • Understanding of tender documents and specifications.
  • Knowledge of designing fire alarm systems to meet IBC, NBC, NFPA 72, and other relevant standards.
  • Able to learn quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NICET Level I & II certification.
  • Simpex product certification.
  • Experience with products from Simplex, Notifier, Siemens, EST, etc.
