Lead Data Engineer Position

The role of Lead Data Engineer is crucial in driving the success of our organization's data engineering initiatives. As a seasoned professional with 8+ years of experience in enterprise-level data engineering roles, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams and spearheading the development of scalable data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement efficient data pipelines using Snowflake and other data processing tools.
  • Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to optimize data retrieval and analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise-level data engineering roles.
  • Expertise in OLAP design and deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, including star/snowflake schema, ETL/ELT processes, normalization/denormalization, and data modeling.
  • Strong expertise in writing complex SQL queries, including joins, window functions, and optimization techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including warehouses, data ingestion with snow pipe, external integrations, views & tables, UDFs, procedures, streams, tasks, and serverless architecture.
  • Experience with Snowflake-specific features, including clustering, partitioning, and schema design best practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
