Job Title: Solution Development Director

Job Description:

As a Solution Development Director, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams in the development of high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Representing technical governance bodies to drive significant business impact and shape target state architecture.
  • Providing feedback and proposing improvements to architecture governance practices.
  • Guiding evaluation of current technology and leading evaluation of new technologies using existing standards and frameworks.
  • Regularly providing technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Developing secure and high-quality production code, and reviewing and debugging code written by others.
  • Driving decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
  • Serving as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.
  • Actively contributing to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Influencing peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
  • Experience working on investment domain.
  • Hands-on AWS cloud experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced knowledge of software architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc).
