Job Title: Senior Manager

  • The position requires a senior manager with leadership and technical skills to lead the software engineering charter for the MedTech R&D team.
  • The ideal candidate should have experience in building and scaling tech teams in product-based environments, preferably in MedTech, IoT, embedded systems, or smart devices.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the software engineering charter for the MedTech R&D team, setting up processes, practices, and technical standards from scratch.
  • Define the overall software architecture and technology stack, ensuring alignment with hardware systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and scale a high-performing engineering team including full-stack developers, frontend/backend engineers, DevOps, SDETs, and architects.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, validation, and system engineering teams to deliver fully integrated product solutions.
  • Drive Agile development practices, oversee sprint planning, and establish robust CICD and DevOps pipelines for efficient and secure delivery.
  • Ensure quality and compliance by setting up code quality frameworks, automated testing processes, and documentation standards aligned with MedTech regulations.
  • Act as a technical leader and mentor, guiding both architectural direction and individual team growth.
  • Partner with leadership to define project roadmaps, assess technical risks, and ensure timely delivery of product milestones.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of building and scaling tech teams in product-based environments - preferably in MedTech, IoT, embedded systems, or smart devices.
  • Deep understanding of full-stack development, including modern frontend frameworks, backend microservices, cloud-native architectures, and DevOps/CICD practices.
  • Strong experience working in hardware-software integrated environments, ideally within regulated industries (medical devices, automotive, aerospace).
  • Hands-on technical expertise with the ability to drive architecture, code quality, and delivery while mentoring and managing senior engineers and architects.
  • Demonstrated ability to set up teams from 0 to 1, define scalable processes, and drive cross-functional collaboration with R&D counterparts.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of working closely with BU heads and global leaders to align on strategy and execution.
  • A builder's mindset - comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and motivated by the opportunity to create high-impact tech solutions that improve lives.
  • Preference for candidates open to relocating to Ahmedabad.
