Principal Data Engineer Position

Overview

As a key member of our data engineering team, we are seeking an experienced Principal Data Engineer to lead and collaborate with a group of skilled engineers.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in software development, with a focus on backend and data engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud native data-intensive applications using Amazon Web Service and GCP.
  • Develop and maintain Spark applications.
  • Architect and implement workflow management systems.
  • Collaborate with the team to propose and review architecture.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development, focusing on backend and data engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience leading teams.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience using Python, JVM, and Shell Scripting.
  • 5+ years of experience building cloud-native data-intensive applications.
  • Experience with Databricks, dbt, Airflow, Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, Docker, Kubernetes, Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins, and unit testing frameworks.
