Job Title: Primary Years Programme Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced educator to lead our Primary Years Programme, aligning with the principles of the International Baccalaureate framework.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and review the PYP curriculum in accordance with IB guidelines, ensuring academic excellence and student success.
  • Collaborate with teachers to deliver high-quality education, fostering a culture of inquiry and reflection within the school community.
  • Provide guidance and support for teachers in designing transdisciplinary units and inquiry-based learning experiences that cater to diverse student needs.
  • Organize and lead professional development workshops and training sessions for staff members, promoting best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Maintain open communication with parents and the school community, promoting understanding of the PYP and its benefits.
  • Coordinate student assessments and maintain accurate records as per IB requirements, ensuring data-driven decision making.
  • Stay updated on IB developments and changes, ensuring the school's adherence to IB standards and maintaining accreditation.
  • Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and the IB organization, to ensure seamless collaboration and mutual understanding.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree or Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • IB PYP Coordinator training or certification.
  • At least 10 years of teaching experience and a strong understanding of the IB framework, particularly the PYP.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong leadership abilities and a commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
