About Our Job

Our organization requires an experienced database professional to manage and optimize our IMS databases.

This critical role is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and performance tuning of IBM Information Management System (IMS) databases within a mainframe environment.

The Database Administrator will ensure the availability, integrity, and security of critical data used by enterprise applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement IMS databases with optimal configuration and scalability.
  • Monitor and tune database performance to minimize delays and maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure data availability and integrity through regular backups and data validation.
  • Implement and manage robust database security protocols to prevent unauthorized access.

Requirements:

  • Relevant educational background in Computer Science or related field.

Desirable Skills:

  • Proficiency in IMS database management systems.
  • Experience with performance tuning and maintenance techniques.
  • Strong understanding of data security practices and compliance regulations.
