About the Role

You will be responsible for maintaining client books and posting journal entries, as well as preparing and presenting financial statements. This includes maintaining books at asset, investment, and portfolio levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Practical knowledge of journal entries and posting of journals
  • Preparation of profit and loss account, Balance Sheet, and Cash flow statement
  • Preparation of Cash book and reconciliation of cash with bank on a daily basis
  • Knowledge of revenue recognition and accrual concept
  • Coordination of processing of payments and other transactions
  • Review and update of detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation
  • Tracking of property review accounting, including Net Assets, Operating income, Depreciation check, and Rent calculation
  • Preparation of Deferred Revenue Cost schedule and accounting
  • Preparation of schedule of Equity capital, subscription, and redemption
  • Preparation of variance analysis and provision of comments
  • Accounting of Re-valuation of assets and preparation of schedule
  • Maintenance of various entities' books of accounts, both Book side and Market side
  • Assistance in audit queries

Qualifications

  • Graduate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any other professional accounting qualification (e.g. CA inter, CWA inter, or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 1–3 years' experience in accounting for the financial services sector, particularly Private Equity, Asset Management, or Fund Administration
  • Knowledge of IFRS and/or USGAAP
  • Experience in preparing general ledger and financial statements
  • Good communication skills and proficiency in English (both verbal and written)
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Investran/Oracle will be an added advantage
  • Private equity/real estate fund experience, including exposure to complex fund structure, waterfall computation, and preferred return
