US Tax Associate Job Summary

A dynamic US tax associate is required to join our Noida team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring tax compliance, preparation, and advisory services for various client types.

Job Description:

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Preparing US personal (1040), corporate (1120), and trust income tax returns with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Applying US tax treaty provisions to cross-border tax transactions to ensure seamless compliance.
  • Assisting with sales tax filings and registrations in a timely manner.
  • Supporting tax planning initiatives for cross-border transactions to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Drafting and organizing working papers for income tax filings to maintain transparency and accountability.
  • Aiding in tax audits with the IRS, including client coordination and document preparation to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Working closely with senior staff and partners on tax strategies and planning to deliver value-added solutions.
  • Developing strong client relationships and understanding their business needs to provide tailored support.
  • Applying project and process management skills, particularly during tax season, to meet deadlines and deliver results.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • 1–2 years' experience in preparing/reviewing 1040 and 1120 tax returns.
  • Public accounting/tax experience preferred, but not essential.
  • Strong client communication skills to build rapport and trust.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Master of Commerce preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience with tax software (e.g., Prosystems, FX, Gosystems, Drake Tax) is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information clearly.
  • Excellent team collaboration and multitasking ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous professional development.
