Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Senior Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for handling tax matters, preparing submissions, and responding to notices, appeals, and meeting with tax authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare submissions, replies to notices, appeals, and meet with tax authorities.
  • Assist clients in responding to departmental enquiries, investigations, and audits.
  • Prepare reply to Show cause notice/audit replies.
  • Meet with tax officers for hearings as required.
  • Prepare tax appeals to be filed at the Joint Commissioner (Appeals) and Court.
  • Assist seniors in representation before various judicial forums.
  • Conduct comprehensive research on various topics.

Client Service Delivery/Execution:

  • Proactively identify and discuss technical issues with clients while being mindful of firm risk issues.
  • Execute work on a multiple client base with near independent responsibility for smaller clients.
  • Develop rapport with middle layers of client management.

Commercial Acumen:

  • Stay abreast of firm-wide and competitor activities, as well as general business trends.
  • Apply knowledge in delivering solutions to clients.

Networking & Identification of Opportunities:

  • Identify new opportunities for existing clients and communicate with senior team members.
  • Network internally within the peer group and other levels in the firm.

Experience and Education:

  • Law Graduate from a known Law School with a strong academic track record.
  • 1-3 years of post-qualification experience in Indirect Tax would be preferred.
