Lead Rail Bridge Design Engineer

About the Role

This is a key opportunity to join our team as a Lead Rail Bridge Design Engineer. We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to take responsibility for the design of rail bridges, viaducts, and structures.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and coordinating work between different disciplines. They will also be expected to prepare reports and calculations in line with international codes of practice.

Apart from the technical skills required for the job, the successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, which will enable them to build strong relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and contractors.

  • Take responsibility for Rail bridge design, Viaduct & Structure design.
  • Manage Engineers of different ranks, liaising with sub-agencies and building relationships with clients, architects, consultants, contractors.
  • Co-ordinate work between different disciplines.
  • Prepare reports and calculations in line with International Codes of Practice (AREMA, AASTHO, EURO, BS).

Key Qualifications:

  • BE-Civil + M.Tech in Structural Engineering.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in the relevant field.

Required Skills:

  • Conversant in using Eurocode with Danish national annexures and Danish/BDL standards.
  • Experience on software requirement Sofistick, Midas, Open Bridge, Oasys.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative multi-discipline design team.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision and provide support and mentoring to others.
