Job Description

Our team is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join us in delivering innovative engineering solutions in the transportation sector. The ideal candidate will have experience in rail bridge design, viaduct and structure design, with a strong emphasis on project management from conception to completion.

Responsibilities

  1. Take responsibility for Rail bridge design, Viaduct & Structure design.
  2. Experience in NORDICS and UK Projects MUST.
  3. Conversant in using Eurocode with Danish national annexures and Danish/BDL standards.
  4. Assist in the overall project management from conception to development and project completion.
  5. Manage Engineers of different ranks, liaising with sub-agencies and building relationships with clients, architects, consultants, contractors.
  6. Co-ordinate work between different disciplines.
  7. Prepare reports and calculations in line with International Codes of Practice (AREMA, AASTHO, EURO, BS).
  8. Plan and deliver bridge surveys and inspections including recording of all relevant information.
  9. Perform bridge assessment calculation and report.
  10. Manage delivery of projects – take responsibility for budget and resource deployment on projects.
  11. Take responsibility for project delivery to agreed budgets.
  12. Preparation of estimates for work items.
  13. Identify scope change items.
  14. Knowledge of working on big multi-disciplinary projects on BIM.
  15. Prepare contractual claims arising out of any change in the contract conditions.
  16. Manage resources at a project level to ensure utilization and productivity are maintained.
  17. Ensure compliance with Systra Group policies, particularly on ethics, safety and adherence to Company ISO standards.

Qualifications

  • BE-Civil + M.Tech in Structural Engineering.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in the relevant field.
  • Having experience working with Nordic projects.

Required Skills

  • Conversant in using Eurocode with Danish national annexures and Danish/BDL standards.
  • Experience on software requirement Sofistick, Midas, Open Bridge, Oasys.
  • Actively working towards professional qualification.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative multi-discipline design team.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision and provide support and mentoring to others.
  • Ability to travel to client sites and other SYSTRA offices will be required.
