About the Job

This is an opportunity to leverage your analytical skills and contribute to improving our dispute resolution process. You will examine fraud and dispute cases according to Mastercard chargeback rules and internal policies, analyze transaction data, and assess case validity and liability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine fraud and dispute cases according to Mastercard chargeback rules and internal policies.
  • Analyze transaction data and supporting documentation to assess case validity and liability.
  • Prioritize and manage high-volume case workloads efficiently and accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, issuing banks, acquirers, and merchants to ensure timely dispute resolution.
  • Identify patterns and emerging fraud trends, sharing insights with the fraud prevention team.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting of dispute activities for compliance and audit purposes.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 2–5 years of experience in fraud, disputes, or chargebacks (Mastercard required; Visa knowledge beneficial).
  • In-depth knowledge of Mastercard chargeback rules and the dispute life cycle.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Able to handle multiple cases simultaneously with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with fraud detection tools, case management systems, and regulatory requirements (Reg E, Reg Z preferred).
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working in financial institutions, fintechs, or payment processors.
  • Knowledge of both issuer and acquirer dispute processes.
  • Professional certifications in fraud or payments (e.g., CFE, CAFP) advantageous.
