Job Title: Cloud Platform Specialist

 

 Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and manage Red Hat OpenShift clusters.
  • Perform regular upgrades and patching of OCP environments to ensure high availability and disaster recovery of OCP clusters.
  • Be responsible for the complete end-to-end project management, installation, re-installation, configuration, re-configuration, implementation, integration, monitoring, patch management, VA/PT closure and troubleshooting of projects.
  • Provide L3 support for incidents and problems related to OpenShift, troubleshoot complex issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with other teams to resolve platform-related issues.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of OCP clusters, implement best practices for resource allocation and management.
  • Conduct capacity planning and scaling of OCP environments, perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Manage access controls and authentication mechanisms, develop and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks and deployments.
  • Utilize tools like Ansible, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines for automation, ensure infrastructure as code (IaC) practices are followed.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of the OCP environment and processes, provide training and mentorship to junior administrators and other team members.
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and technical workshops.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations.
  • 3+ years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux administration, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or similar.
  • Understanding of network configurations, load balancing, and firewall management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
