Senior Cloud Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled senior cloud engineer to lead the management of our hybrid server infrastructure. This role will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing both on-premises and cloud-based environments, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Windows 365 Cloud PCs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and Support Windows Server Environments: Maintain and optimize Windows Server environments across on-prem and Azure platforms.
  • Deploy, Configure, and Manage Azure Virtual Machines: Deploy, configure, and manage Azure Virtual Machines and related services.
  • Design, Implement, and Maintain Azure Virtual Desktop Environments: Design, implement, and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, including host pools, session hosts, FSLogix profiles, and scaling plans.
  • Manage Windows 365 Cloud PCs: Manage Windows 365 Cloud PCs, including provisioning policies, user assignments, and performance monitoring.
  • Hypervisor Administration: Administer hypervisors, including provisioning of virtual machines, performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting of virtual environments.
  • Automate Administrative Tasks: Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell and Azure CLI.
  • Monitor System Performance, Availability, and Security: Monitor system performance, availability, and security across all environments.
  • Collaborate with Security and Compliance Teams: Collaborate with security and compliance teams to enforce policies and respond to vulnerabilities.
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery Planning: Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing for hybrid workloads.
  • Provide Mentorship and Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in server administration with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
  • Proven experience managing both on-prem and Azure-based virtual machines.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 Cloud PC administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Windows Server OS.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Familiarity with hybrid networking, VPNs, and ExpressRoute.
