IT Application Manager Job Description

As a seasoned IT professional, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise applications. This includes deployment, configuration, upgrades, integration, and performance optimization. Your goal will be to ensure high availability, reliability, and security of all academic and administrative applications.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Manage the application development life cycle from start to finish.
  • Oversee issue resolution and incident management for application-related problems.
  • Participate in strategic planning and governance, defining and executing the application roadmap in alignment with institutional goals.


Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Partner with academic leaders and administrators to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Lead user adoption initiatives, including training and support.
  • Act as a liaison with application vendors and service providers.


Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • At least 15 years of progressive experience in IT application management, preferably in higher education or large enterprise environments.
  • Expertise in managing Salesforce CRM, ERP, SIS, LMS, Library Management, and related systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
