Manufacturing Planning Specialist

Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Manufacturing Planning Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for analyzing production planning and scheduling processes, identifying areas of improvement, and aligning them with our manufacturing capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in configuring and customizing our SAP PP/QM module for production planning requirements, including master data, planning strategies, heuristics, and scheduling logic.

  • Configure and customize the SAP PP/QM module for production planning requirements, including master data, planning strategies, heuristics, and scheduling logic;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in manufacturing, supply chain, and IT to design effective planning solutions;
  • Conduct system testing and provide training and support for planning and scheduling functions;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve functional and technical issues in SAP PP/QM, ensuring minimal disruption;
  • Participate in SAP projects like implementations, rollouts, and upgrades involving PP/QM, contributing to project scoping, planning, and coordination;
  • Support integration between PP/QM and other SAP modules (APO, S/4HANA) as well as external systems;
  • Manage data migration activities related to materials, BOMs, routings, and planning master data.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with SAP PP/QM (APO or S/4HANA embedded PP/QM);
  • Strong understanding of production planning concepts;
  • Experience configuring planning parameters, production data structures, and scheduling strategies;
  • Familiarity with CIF integration between ECC/S4 and APO;
  • Experience writing functional specifications;
  • SAP S/4HANA PP/QM experience is advantageous;
  • Understanding of manufacturing industry processes and shop floor integration is an advantage;
  • Fluency in English is required.
