Job Summary:

You will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining Power BI solutions that support data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will work closely with business representatives to capture requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient BI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with solution architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and outline BI solution designs
  • Elicit requirements through workshops and interviews with subject matter experts and process owners
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports with intuitive and visually appealing visualizations
  • Perform data cleansing, transformation, and modeling to ensure data accuracy and consistency
  • Apply best practices in Power BI development including DAX optimization, data modeling, and performance tuning
  • Capture and translate business needs into scalable BI solutions for end-users
  • Implement and enforce data governance policies, security controls, and access management in the Power BI environment
  • Provide training and support to users on effectively using dashboards and reports
  • Stay updated on latest Power BI trends and best practices and share insights with the team
  • Support ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests to deliver accurate business insights

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Power BI, DAX, M language, Power Query, Data Modeling, Dashboards, Data Visualizations, Data Cleansing, ETL Processes, SQL databases, Data Warehousing, Data Integration, Data Migration, Performance Tuning, Report Builder, DAX Studio, Tabular Editor

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Power BI development (desktop, service, Power Query)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Strong proficiency in DAX and M language for calculations and transformations
  • Solid understanding of data modeling and database performance optimization
  • Experience working with backend data structures, SQL, Data Warehouses, ETL processes
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Microsoft 365, and Dynamics 365
  • Experience with open-source tools like DAX Studio, Tabular Editor
  • Experience leading BI projects and translating business needs into scalable solutions
  • Knowledge of full-stack development for scenarios requiring Power BI integration with web tools
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present to non-technical audiences
