Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge aerospace simulation and design technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and experience with OpenFOAM software.

Responsibilities include configuring, running, and analyzing CFD simulations for airfoils, wings, and aircraft models, as well as handling various flow regimes from incompressible to hypersonic conditions.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for generating high-quality meshes using native OpenFOAM tools or external pre-processors, developing and maintaining Python scripts for automating pre-processing, simulation control, and post-processing, and extracting and interpreting aerodynamic performance metrics.

Additionally, the candidate will validate CFD results through comparison with experimental data or established literature and document simulation setups, assumptions, and findings for internal use and reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with OpenFOAM for aerodynamic simulations.
  • Strong knowledge of aerodynamics and fluid mechanics, including compressible and incompressible flows.
  • Ability to simulate complex geometries, including full aircraft configurations.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting for CFD automation.
  • Experience with mesh generation tools compatible with OpenFOAM.
