Job Title: Sustainability Manager

The role of the Supply Chain Manager plays a critical role in managing end-to-end supply chain functions for a factory. The primary responsibilities include production planning and control, plant sourcing, warehouse management, logistics, scrap management, data analysis, and project management.

  • Production Planning & Scheduling: Align material availability with production plans to ensure zero downtime, collaborate with production and sales teams for demand forecasting and capacity planning, and monitor daily and weekly production plans.
  • Procurement & Supplier Coordination: Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and consumables, coordinate with central procurement and approved vendors for purchase orders and delivery timelines.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, monitor stock ageing and initiate disposal or consumption plans.
  • Warehousing & Logistics: Oversee inbound and outbound logistics for OTIF deliveries, manage warehouse operations and space utilization, and ensure proper documentation and coordination with transporters.
  • Cost & Process Optimization: Identify and implement initiatives to reduce costs, drive process improvements using lean methodologies, and track key SCM KPIs like inventory turnover and delivery accuracy.
Requirements:
  • A graduate degree in Engineering, Science, or Commerce, preferably an MBA or PG in Supply Chain Management.
  • 12-20 years of relevant experience in supply chain or operations management in a manufacturing setup.
  • A strong understanding of production planning, MRP, logistics, and warehousing practices.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
