As a key member of our culinary team, the Sous Chef plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and Coordinating Kitchen Staff
    • Oversee the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and kitchen helpers.
    • Coordinate tasks and workflow to maintain efficiency and productivity.
  • Menu Planning and Food Production
    • Develop and implement menu planning and recipe development.
    • Monitor food production processes, including cooking, plating, and garnishing.
  • Training and Mentoring
    • Train and mentor kitchen staff on culinary techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation practices.
  • Inventory Management and Collaboration
    • Assist in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storing food and supplies.
    • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate kitchen operations and meet guest expectations.
  • Maintenance and Safety
    • Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment, appliances, and facilities.
    • Ensure a clean and hygienic kitchen environment by adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
