Key Responsibilities:
- Perform economic analyses, data collection, and spreadsheet creation to identify business cases related to energy use.
- Provide consultancy services for project monitoring, evaluation, reporting, coordination, development, and support for implementation in sectors related to the Performance Assessment of Thermal (PAT) scheme.
- Conduct project appraisal/due-diligence, monitoring, and reporting of energy performance of Distribution Companies (DCs) under the PAT scheme.
- Prepare policy-related documents related to the PAT scheme, under the guidance of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE).
- Coordinate with external agencies, State Designated Agencies (SDAs), and Regulatory Authorities.
- Provide consultancy services for the Financing Energy Efficiency Programme (FEEP).
- Facilitate media and outreach activities for various energy efficiency programs and policies, and facilitate knowledge sharing and learning amongst stakeholders through workshops, seminars, and focused training programs.
- Undertake financial assessment studies regarding energy and environmental performance for Distribution Companies (DISCOMs) and different consumer categories.
- Develop dissemination materials such as case studies, documentaries, brochures, etc.
- Evaluate technical and financial proposals received from various consulting firms and prepare summary reports.
- Perform rigorous quantitative and qualitative research.
Other Relevant Areas:
- Lead project delivery on specific deliverables/engagements assigned by the Supervisor, within a stipulated timeline, stretching when needed.
- Demonstrate expertise in writing reports, making presentations, number-crunching, and graphics/visualization.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to resolve complex finance and accounting issues.
- Good communication skills (oral and written) in English and Hindi.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of Energy Efficiency, EC Act 2001, and Energy Conservation Principles.
- Post-Graduation in Commerce or MBA (Finance) or CFA or ICWA or CA or CS with two years relevant experience.
- Minimum experience of 4 years, including due diligence of projects and related experience commensurate with the assignment, roles, and responsibilities expected to be handled by the candidate, specifically in the areas of Energy Efficiency & Climate change.
- Experience in research paper writing, report writing, financial analysis of projects, assessment of financial cash flows of projects related to Energy efficiency or Renewable energy or Climate financing.
- Data analysis and related analytical knowledge.
