About the Role:
We are hiring senior energy analysts/project managers to work in our Energy Analytics practice. As an Energy Efficiency Consultant, you will contribute to the development of innovative products and services, working on multiple projects with all levels of staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with energy efficiency studies, program planning, advisory research and support, preparation of filings and regulatory support for US and Canadian utilities and/or government agencies.
- Develop and design innovative program strategies.
- Conduct market research on various energy efficiency technologies including measure adoption, saturation, feasibility, etc.
- Perform advanced energy saving calculations and economic analyses for the residential and commercial sectors supporting utility programs.
- Oversee market research and development of industry expertise on innovative technologies.
- Assist with business development activities including writing proposals.
- Evaluate and benchmark program performance.
- Manage and analyze large datasets using advanced Excel functions.
- Prepare and present persuasive presentations and reports.
- Co-author reports and other client deliverables, journal articles, white papers and marketing pieces.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, with demonstrated interest and in sustainability, building energy efficiency, building science, and/or renewables.
- 5-8 years of related energy industry experience, including experience in energy consulting, energy management, building science, DSM program potential studies, regulatory support, DSM program design, and/or program implementation.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including the ability to identify, collect and analyze data.
- Strong writing and communication skills, ensuring clear expression of ideas and effectively providing information to stakeholders.
- In-depth understanding of energy efficiency technologies, economic valuation (NPV, IRR, etc.), and utility cost-effectiveness tests.
- Knowledge of energy policy and regulation, especially related to DSM and other distributed energy resources.
- Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated salary range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. ICF offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.

This position is based in the United States or Canada, with remote work options available.
