Lead Data Migration Strategist

Our organization is seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead its data migration efforts. As a Lead Data Migration Strategist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive data migration strategies that align with business objectives and timelines.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data migration, data integration, or data management roles, with a proven track record of leading full-cycle data migrations for major ERP, HCM, or CRM implementations. They will also possess expertise in working with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, and BAAN, as well as experience with data migration tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive data migration strategy, scope, and roadmap aligned with program objectives and timelines.
  • Collaborate with business, IT, and external partners to define data requirements, mapping rules, and transformation logic.
  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of data migration activities across all project phases: extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), validation, and reconciliation.
  • Manage the migration of master data, transactional data, and historical records from legacy systems to the target platform.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in data migration, data integration, or data management roles.
  • Proven experience leading at least one full-cycle data migration for a major ERP, HCM, or CRM implementation.
  • Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, and BAAN.
  • Experience with data migration tools.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, master data management (MDM), and data governance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Project Management Skills.
