Job Summary

The position of Naval Architect is a key role in the planning and execution of vessel projects.

Responsibilities include ensuring that vessels comply with established standards and regulations, as well as providing support to surveyors during job training.

Key skills required for this position include:

  • A strong understanding of ship stability, marine systems, and ship construction practices.
  • Familiarity with classification rules and statutory regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL, Load Line, etc.).
  • Proficiency with CAD software and basic structural/hydrostatic analysis tools.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Naval Architecture degree with knowledge and experience in class rules, materials, welding, ship types, structural analysis, and statutory regulations.
  • Experience in ship design, shipbuilding, and/or offshore operations, with preference given to those with class experience.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience required.
