We are seeking an accomplished AI Research Scientist to spearhead the development of cutting-edge deep learning algorithms for high-performance computing workloads.

• You will lead the design and implementation of novel GPU architectures that accelerate demanding deep learning, high-performance computing, and computationally intensive tasks.
• Your expertise will be crucial in identifying architectural changes and/or new approaches for accelerating our deep learning models, driving innovation and efficiency across our products and services.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic solutions for compute, networking, and storage design for large-scale, high-performance workloads, effective resource utilization in heterogeneous computing environments, evolving our private/public cloud strategy, capacity modeling, and growth planning across our portfolio.
• As a key architect, you will transform business needs associated with AI-ML algorithms into actionable product goals covering workload scenarios, end-user expectations, compute infrastructure, and execution times; this will culminate in a plan for making algorithms production-ready.
• You will benchmark and optimize Computer Vision Algorithms and Hardware Accelerators for performance and quality metrics.
• Optimize algorithms for optimal performance on GPU tensor cores.
• You will drive an end-to-end workflow from data curation and training to performance optimization and deployment, assigning tasks to the team and monitoring progress.

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

• A Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with a strong background in deploying complex deep learning architectures.
• Seven+ years of relevant experience in machine learning (with a focus on Deep Neural Networks), including a grasp of DL fundamentals, adapting and training DNNs for various tasks, developing code for one or more DNN training frameworks (such as Caffe, TensorFlow, or Torch), numerical analysis, performance analysis, model compression, and computer architecture.
• Strong Data structures and Algorithms knowledge with excellent C/C++ programming skills.
• Hands-on expertise with PyTorch, TensorRT, CuDNN.
• Hands-on expertise with GPU computing (CUDA, OpenCL, OpenACC) and HPC (MPI, OpenMP).
• In-depth understanding of container technologies like Docker, Singularity, Shifter, Charliecloud.
• Proficiency in Python programming and bash scripting.
• Proficiency in Windows, Ubuntu, and Centos operating systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivation and ability to find creative practical solutions to problems.

The following skills would be highly beneficial:

• Hands-on experience with HPC cluster job schedulers such as Kubernetes, SLURM, LSF.
• Familiarity with cloud computing architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Software Defined Networking and HPC cluster networking.
• Working knowledge of cluster configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Salt.
• Understanding of fast, distributed storage systems and Linux file systems for HPC workloads.
