Job Title:

Senior Software Engineer Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead our team of software engineers.

Job Description:

  • Oversee the day-to-day technical operations and ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards.
  • Assist in training new employees and reviewing the high-performing team to maintain a culture of excellence.
  • Develop and assign work schedules/tasks to the team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Review ongoing operations and rectify any issues that may arise to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Participate in design and code reviews to improve the overall quality of our products.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues within the agreed SLAs to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, production support, and operations, to ensure best-in-class customer experience.
  • Lead groups of engineers working with the scrum master and management to coordinate and deliver projects efficiently.
  • Provide technical support to operations or other development teams as needed.
  • Review the work of peers and team members to ensure consistency and adherence to quality standards.
  • Participate in planning sessions with team members to analyze development requirements, provide design options, and provide work breakdown and estimates of work.
  • Actively participate in team and status meetings, providing timely status updates for areas of individual responsibilities within projects to reporting manager.
  • Pilot test new technologies and frameworks to identify opportunities for improvement.

Required Skills:

  • High technical credibility and strong programming skills with Java EE, SQL, JavaScript, JMS, REST, and SOAP services.
  • Strong experience in java frameworks, especially the spring framework.
  • In-depth knowledge of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Sound technical foundation of single and multi-tier architecture, web-based development, and Services Oriented Architecture.
  • Proficiency in Java, data structure, algorithms, collections, and concurrency.
  • Solid experience with SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and triggers for Oracle databases.
  • Proficient using source code management tools such as Git/bitbucket and build tools like Maven.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of CI/CD processes and tools, including Jenkins.
  • Strong experience with Unix/Linux basic commands.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
  • Exposure to Apache Camel or any other integration framework.
  • Ability to see the big picture while not losing sight of necessary details.
  • Hands-on experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience leading a team through all phases of the software development cycle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experienced in agile software development lifecycle.
