Civil Engineering Role Overview

Our organization is seeking a skilled Junior Civil Engineer to fill this position. The selected candidate will oversee and manage on-site construction activities, addressing design and technical details, and ensuring exceptional work quality.

The following responsibilities are expected of the Junior Civil Engineer:

  • Manage all on-site construction operations effectively.
  • Collaborate with contractors and architects to resolve minor design and technical issues.
  • Oversee local contractors, ensuring they meet high standards of workmanship.
  • Keep accurate records of materials, labor, and project progress.
  • Provide regular updates and progress reports to the principal architect and client through charts, emails, and reports.
  • Remain on-site throughout the entire construction period, overseeing project execution and resolving on-the-ground issues.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and manage site logistics efficiently.

To qualify for this role, applicants must have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, designs, and specifications.
  • Effective problem-solving skills for resolving on-site challenges.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with CAD software.
