As a Domain Trainee, you'll play a key role in utilizing your experience in insurance/reinsurance and underwriting processes to process transactions and communicate with the Onsite Team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up Binding Authority contracts with Contractual rules and aggregate limits on DUA tool
  • Completing Bordereau Questionnaires by mapping bordereaux with relevant reporting standards using the DUA schema questionnaire
  • Reviewing errors/breaches and performing data enrichments within the DUA system
  • Reconciling Premium and Claim amounts with signing present on Syndicate and Commercial applications
  • Logging data quality issues into query logs
  • Working with the onshore team regarding quality control reviews of issues as part of an onshore escalation process to underwriters
  • Bordereaux standardization and Financial Reconciliation for monthly BDX spreadsheets
  • Exposure to London Market (Syndicate & Company) is a must
  • Providing technical support and bordereau processing assistance to other team members
  • Monitoring submissions of monthly Bordereaux and chasing up any late ones
  • Leading weekly/monthly/quarterly discussions on operations with client UW and company stakeholders

Your qualifications should include:

  • Graduate (in any discipline)
  • Relevant work experience for London Market Insurance
  • Wing-to-wing knowledge of the Underwriting lifecycle
  • Demonstrating customer focus, teamwork, accountability, initiative, and innovation
  • Fluent in English language - both written and oral
  • Excellent knowledge of binders process
  • Understanding of risks faced by the function and controls in place to manage and mitigate risks
  • Ability to accurately interpret and compile information from various sources and systems
