Senior Tax Consultant Job

Overview of the role:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Tax Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in structuring and advisory on deals from tax and foreign exchange control perspectives.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in drafting and reviewing deal documents, including term sheets, loan agreements, SPAs, disclosures, BTA, merger scheme, reps and warranties, etc.

The consultant will also be responsible for handholding in conceptualizing deals with specific focus on India entry/ exit strategy, favorable holding jurisdiction, tax efficiency, and commercial rationale.

Furthermore, the consultant will advise on possible structuring through the IFSC Gift city.

The individual must have strong front-ending and liaison skills with various stakeholders, including AD Bankers.

Additionally, the consultant will undertake health checks and prepare due diligence reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Structuring and advisory on deals from tax perspective and foreign exchange control perspective.
  • Drafting and review of deal documents.
  • Handholding in conceptualizing deals.
  • Advisory on possible structuring through the IFSC Gift city.
  • Front-ending and liaising with various stakeholders.
  • Undertaking health checks and preparing due diligence reports.

International Tax and FEMA Advisory:

  • Advisory assignments on international tax issues.
  • Effective tax rate (ETR) planning analysis.
  • Advisory on FEMA and assistance in compounding applications.
  • Assistance in lower withholding applications, condonation applications, assessments, appeals at all levels.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in structuring and advisory on deals.
  • Expertise in drafting and reviewing deal documents.
  • Strong handholding and conceptualizing skills.
  • Excellent front-ending and liaison skills.
  • Ability to undertake health checks and prepare due diligence reports.
