Job Overview
As a Security Managed Services Engineer at NTT DATA, you will be responsible for providing proactive support to clients to ensure the operational integrity of their Firewall infrastructure. Your primary objective will be to achieve 100% compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze client infrastructure and solutions to identify potential issues and errors.
- Proactively identify common incidents and opportunities for avoidance, as well as general opportunities for incident reduction.
- Investigate first-line incidents assigned, identify the root cause, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide telephonic or chat support to clients as needed, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and requests.
- Schedule maintenance activity windows for patching and configuration changes, ensuring minimal disruption to clients.
- Follow handover procedures for shift changes to ensure seamless service continuity.
- Escalate incidents as necessary, ensuring prompt attention from senior engineers or management.
- Develop and maintain knowledge articles to improve incident resolution and knowledge sharing.
- Identify opportunities for work optimization, including automation and process improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to project work as required, leveraging skills and expertise to deliver high-quality results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Disaster Recovery functions and tests, ensuring business continuity and minimizing downtime.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- CCNA or relevant level 1 Network Security certification is highly valued, but not required.
- Entry-level experience in security, network, or data centre administration, with a focus on troubleshooting and support.
- Basic knowledge of management agents, redundancy concepts, and products within the supported technical domain.
- Working knowledge of ITIL processes and methodologies.
