Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Specialist to play a key role in laying the foundation for our data-driven projects. With 10-15 years of experience, you will lead best practices in design, development, and implementation, mentor team members, and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines using cutting-edge tools like Apache Spark, AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, and Athena.
  • Lead team best practices in design, development, and implementation, mentoring team members, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Deliver Lakehouse solutions/architectures and provide technical direction, set high standards for code quality and optimize performance in data-intensive environments.
  • Provide thought leadership within the engineering team, setting high standards for quality, efficiency, and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in software architecture and solution design.
  • Expertise in Python, Spark, and ETL data processing, with a deep focus on data engineering practices.
  • Deep technical knowledge of cloud data services and engineering practices.
  • Experience of delivering Lakehouse solutions/architectures.
  • Master's degree or relevant certifications advantageous.

Desired Skills

  • Financial Services expertise preferred, working with Equity and Fixed Income asset classes.
  • Working knowledge of Indices.
