  • Regional Sales Head
About the Role

The Regional Sales Head will lead the commercial efforts across regions in India to maximize market opportunities. The primary responsibility will be managing business operations, including maximizing sales and market share gain for products and/or services throughout assigned regions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To contribute to API BD strategy on Global Accounts growth objectives.
  • To determine strategies for selected accounts and build wallet share of business for Biocon API business in India.
  • To lead operations and day-to-day activities to ensure smooth functioning of businesses and monthly order forecasting for production planning.
  • To grow share of business and expand relationships within customers, identifying influencers, gatekeepers, and decision-makers within the region.
  • To deploy strong consultative selling approach with assigned accounts to identify supply chain challenges and develop value-creating solutions.
  • To interact with regular customers to ensure continuity of existing businesses from order receipt to shipment.
  • To coordinate with planning, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely dispatch and documentation.

Key Objectives:

  • To manage business development activities to add new customers and increase market coverage of existing products in untapped regions.
  • To provide market research, intelligence, and key information on international market trends and competition to inform future export strategies.

Requirements

  • At least 15 to 20 years of relevant industry experience in API Sales and BD (India market focus preferred).
  • A high-energy individual with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines both inside and outside the company.
  • Strong leadership qualities, including excellent verbal and written communication skills, relationship management skills, strategic thinking, open-mindedness, and innovative thinking.
