Job Overview

Cisco UCCE CVP Engineer Job Summary:

  • This role involves designing architecture and analyzing business requirements to develop robust Cisco UCCE and CVP architectures that support scalable, resilient, and high-performing contact center solutions.
  • The ideal candidate will lead or participate in the installation, configuration, and deployment of UCCE and CVP components, including ICM PGs, Call Servers, Gateways, Media Servers, Finesse, and supporting applications.
  • This position requires integrating Cisco UCCE and CVP with third-party applications such as CRM systems, workforce management, IVR, call recording, analytics, and other enterprise solutions.
  • A successful engineer will develop, update, and troubleshoot CVP VXML applications and ICM scripts to support dynamic routing, self-service, and intelligent call distribution.
  • Additionally, this role includes providing tier-3 support for complex issues, investigating root causes, and resolving incidents involving UCCE, CVP, and related technologies.
  • The engineer will monitor system health, performance metrics, and call flows; proactively identify bottlenecks, capacity issues, and opportunities for optimization.
  • This position also entails planning, testing, and executing upgrades, patches, and migrations for UCCE and CVP platforms, ensuring compliance with security, regulatory, and organizational standards.
  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation, including configurations, topologies, change management records, and knowledge base articles is also crucial.
  • The engineer will collaborate with network, telephony, security, and infrastructure teams; mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices and new technologies.
  • Effective communication with business stakeholders to gather requirements, provide status updates, and translate technical concepts into business-focused language is essential.
  • Evaluating solutions against applicable policies, security standards, and industry best practices is also required.

Preferred Qualifications and Certifications

The following qualifications are preferred:

  • Cisco UCCE-CVP certification
  • CCNP Collaboration or CCIE Collaboration certifications
  • Experience with cloud-based contact center solutions, Webex Contact Center, Amazon Connect, Genesys Cloud, etc.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and automation tools, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, etc.
  • Experience with multimedia routing, outbound campaigns, and WFM-WFO integrations
  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certification or equivalent process knowledge
  • Familiarity with PCIDSS, GDPR, HIPAA, or other compliance frameworks
