AVP Medical Coding Professional

We are seeking an experienced AVP Medical Coding professional with over 17 years of experience in managing large teams of coders, certified from AAPC or AHIMA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of daily operations including workload and staffing, hiring, disciplining, performance appraisals, training, and quality control.
  • Development of long-range and short-term goals, objectives, plans, and programs for implementation.
  • Collaboration in planning, development, and budgeting, including staffing costs, capital equipment, and operations.
  • Evaluation of the impact of innovations and changes in programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Design and implementation of systems and methods to improve data accessibility.
  • Ensuring coding compliance program, developing educational and training programs regarding documentation and accurate coding.
  • Audit efforts and monitoring accuracy and documentation adequacy.
  • Review of claim denials and rejections pertaining to coding and medical necessity issues.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Any Graduate (preferably from Life Science background)
  • 17+ years of experience in Multispecialty Coding and substantial team management experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong managerial, leadership, analytical, interpersonal skills and Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Hands on Experience in generating reports using MS Office - Excel, word and MS power point.
