Senior Distributed Systems Engineer

A senior distributed systems engineer position is available for an experienced professional with expertise in large-scale system integration and cloud computing environments. We seek someone who can design, implement, and operate complex systems, automate deployment and orchestration of services, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. System Integration Expertise: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of integrating distributed systems to ensure seamless interaction between components.
  2. Cloud Computing: Automate deployment and orchestration of services into cloud environments, as well as other routine processes, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  3. Capacity Planning and Testing: Participate actively in capacity planning, scale testing, and disaster recovery exercises to ensure the stability and resilience of systems.
  4. Interoperability and Support: Interact and support partner teams, including Engineering, QA, and program management, to ensure smooth collaboration and efficient issue resolution.
  5. Troubleshooting and API Development: Troubleshoot customer concerns for system issues and design and implement RESTful/RPC APIs and services using Golang or Python.
  6. Error Budget Reporting: Implement SLO/SLI and error budget reporting for various customers to ensure accurate performance metrics and timely issue resolution.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in distributed systems engineering and cloud computing environments.
  • Expertise in large-scale system integration and its applications.
  • Proficiency in automation tools, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), and programming languages (Golang, Python).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, strong analytical thinking, and effective communication abilities.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in distributed systems, cloud computing, and automation tools.
