Software Repository Maintenance Professional

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team and maintain the integrity of a software repository.

This role involves updating, upgrading, and patching the repository as needed. It is not an administrative position but rather a specialized one focused on software maintenance and management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Linux repositories with expertise in bash scripting, C, and Python programming languages.
  • Develop a strong understanding of compilation and creation of software from source code, including GCC flags and build system tools like autotools, meson, ninja, cmake, make, pkg-config, scons, etc.
  • Create and manage software patches with proficiency.
  • Utilize GDB for debugging purposes.
  • Work with CVS and Git version control systems effectively.
  • Familiarity with Slackware Linux is considered a significant advantage.

Requirements:

  • Fluent English language skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent teamwork and independent work capabilities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks within specified timeframes.
