Job Title: Senior Risk Strategist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Risk Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing risk management practices that ensure seamless interconnectivity of processes, controls, obligations, and risks.

The ideal candidate will have 7-15 years of experience in a financial institution, preferably in risk management, or a willingness to learn and adapt. They should also possess a strong understanding of operational risk practices, including obligations, risks, and controls frameworks.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting key business activities, including risk reviews, risk reporting, and other initiatives. You will also commit to continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and productivity through ongoing monitoring and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance risk management practices to ensure seamless interconnectivity of processes, controls, obligations, and risks.
  • Support key business activities including risk reviews, risk reporting, and other initiatives.
  • Commit to continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and productivity through ongoing monitoring and evaluation.
  • Proactively manage risk, ensuring compliance with all policies and requirements, perform regular controls, adhere to established procedures, and escalate any events, issues, or breaches as they arise.
Requirements
  • Tertiary or postgraduate degree in Risk Management, Finance, Commerce, Law, or a related field.
  • Strong technical proficiency in using Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, Word, PowerPoint, and other relevant tools.
