Your Role

As a Co-Founder of Finance and Operations, you will spearhead our financial strategy, fundraising, and operational scale-up. You will ensure we have the necessary resources, systems, and processes in place for sustainable growth from inception.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy and Fundraising:
    • Develop and manage comprehensive financial models (unit economics, customer acquisition cost/lifetime value, marketplace liquidity).
    • Lead fundraising efforts: prepare investor materials, create pitch decks, oversee financial modeling, and maintain investor relationships.
    • Establish robust financial systems: accounting, compliance, reporting, unit economics analysis, and customer acquisition cost/lifetime value analysis.
    • Oversee regulatory compliance, accounting, and corporate governance.
  • Marketplace Operations:
    • Design and implement an operations playbook for our marketplace.
    • Develop operational processes for venue partnerships, equipment rentals, and event logistics.
    • Balance marketplace liquidity: ensuring adequate hosts and events to meet attendee demand.
    • Establish trust and safety operations: dispute resolution, refunds, and community guidelines.
  • Scaling and Partnerships:
    • Oversee legal and compliance frameworks: contracts, non-disclosure agreements, corporate structure, and MCA compliance.
    • Negotiate partnerships with venues, service providers, and student organizations.
    • Develop KPI dashboards: event volume, ticket sales, host retention, repeat attendance.
    • Recruit and manage community managers and operational staff as we expand.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in finance, consulting, or startup operations.
  • Prior experience in marketplaces or consumer platforms is advantageous.
  • Comfort managing logistics, partnerships, and customer support.
  • Strategic thinker who can also contribute in early execution phases.
  • Passion for building communities and scaling people-centric businesses.
