Job Overview:

As a Mechanical Components Design Manager, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical components, creating bills of material, managing documentation according to ISO standards, and demonstrating expertise in technical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare assembly and part drawings, as well as 3D models, for new product development by analyzing design requirements and specifications.
  • Create and maintain bills of material (BOMs) and ensure compliance with ISO documentation standards.
  • Modify existing designs based on manufacturing and sourcing team requirements by applying problem-solving skills and technical knowledge.
  • Develop and implement design standards and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency in mechanical component design.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to stakeholders by effectively communicating complex information.
  • Manage and work on all ISO-related design documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Train production, assembly, and quality assurance personnel on approved manufacturing, test, and inspection procedures by providing clear instructions and demonstrations.
  • Resolve process and product-related issues to support the manufacturing and sourcing team in completing dispatch orders efficiently.
  • Act on customer complaints and resolve them within a selected timeframe by applying conflict resolution skills and technical knowledge.
  • Prepare internal and external written correspondence by drafting and editing letters, emails, and reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCad, SolidWorks/Siemens NX are essential. A minimum qualification of Diploma, CIPET, or BE Mechanical Engineering is necessary to excel in this role.
